Rehabilitation Counseling, MS

The Rehabilitation Counseling Program is currently a nationally CACREP accredited,  48 credit curriculum, leading to the Master of Science degree. The curriculum is currently under revision and will be moving to a 60 credit program in the near future. Student wishing to complete 60 credits may do so prior to graduation or return after graduation for a 12-credit post-graduate certificate.

The current curriculum includes 39 required credits which entails 33 credits of coursework in principles and practices of rehabilitation counseling, three credits of practicum (100 hours of supervised counseling experience) and three credits of internship (600 hours of supervised field experience).  Nine credits of specific electives are offered to provide students with opportunities for additional study in addiction, family and psychiatric rehabilitation.
